Complete The Look with Vindiictiv Jewellery

Ever looked for a unique piece of jewellery to complete a look but couldn't find it anywhere? Well there is a young trailblazer on the rise who saw the need for this exact thing and turned her love for fashion and jewellery into a business.

Vindiictiv, launched early April 2021, is an affordable jewellery brand that fulfills the need for unique statement pieces that are bound to take your outfits to the next level.

Founder of Vindiictiv, Mandisa Madalane a.k.a Lunar, is a 19 year old fashion designer from the East Rand. Mandisa learnt how to make jewellery from her mother at a young age and she put that knowledge to use when she couldn't find what she was looking for in stores.

Starting a business is a big step but after watching a documentary about an entrepreneur who started his own beard oil business, Mandisa drew inspiration from what she learnt and decided to start her own business.

Vindiictiv first started as a clothing brand concept about looking so good in what you wear that you avenge yourself to all the people that hate on you - Killing them with style! The brand currently only has necklaces ready for sale but will be introducing more items soon.

Vindiictiv (previously Vindictive) relaunched with the stylised spelling because Mandisa wanted the name of the brand to represent who she is. As a Gemini, the double 'i' lookes like the star signs symbol which makes a great deal of who she is."I sometimes say I'm a "gem" instead of using the full word "Gemini" because I see myself as priceless and worth more than what money can buy. I want people to feel that way when they wear my stuff."

Starting a business isn't easy and after the excitement of starting a profitable business doing what she loves, Mandisa quickly learnt that starting the business is easy, but running it is a different story. She laughs at the nativity she had at first and advises that anyone who wants to venture into entrepreneurship should first do tons of research, read articles, talk to other people to learn about everything pertaining to your brand and industry. She also notes that it's important to be specific to the South African market when doing your research as things work differently in SA than other countries.

"Dont break your back trying to do it the way someone else did it." Often then not, we all look to other people within our industries for inspiration but it is important to be unique and stay true to your way of doing things.

In the next 3 years, Mandisa sees Vindiictiv as a fashion house, adding her love for fashion design to the mix as well. She also wishes to collaborate with other upcoming brands, especially those that have aesthetic clothing that you would probably find on Pinterest but wouldn't easily find on just any racks.

It's clear that Mandisa has a clear vision for her brand and we cant wait to see all of the successes play out over the years.

If you are looking to buy Vindiictiv items or even collaborate, here's how to get hold of the brand:
